2013 Italian Wine & Movie Night

Join Dream Italia and Balistreri Vineyards as we host TWO Wine & Movie Nights this summer – on Friday, July 19 & Saturday, July 20 “under the stars” at Balistreri Vineyards.

By popular demand, we are making this year a summer movie weekend, with a wine movie on Friday night, A Good Year, set in Provence, showing July 19, and a romantic comedy on Saturday night, Letters To Juliet, set in beautiful Verona and Tuscany showing on July 20.

Our good friend, Top Chef Winner, Season 5, Hosea Rosenberg, is making two movie menus, so you are in for a different treat each night. Tickets are $49 for each night. You can purchase tickets for one, or both nights, individually at the same link:

Your friends here at Dream Italia and Balistreri Vineyards would love to see you there.

Friday, July 19

A Good Year (2006) 117 mins.

After years of no contact with his Uncle Henry, London banker and bond trader Max Skinner learns that Henry has died intestate, so Max inherits a château and vineyard in Provence. Max spent part of his childhood there, learning maxims and how to win and lose, and honing his killer instinct (at chess, which serves him well in finance). Max goes to France intent on selling the property. He spends a few days there, getting the property ready to show. Memories, a beautiful woman, and a young American who says she’s Henry’s illegitimate daughter interrupt his plans. Did Max the boy know things that Max the man has forgotten?

Letters To Juliet (2010) 105 mins.

An American girl discovers a love letter that changes her life in this romantic comedy starring Amanda Seyfried and Vanessa Redgrave. The setting is Verona, Italy — the city where Romeo and Juliet first met. In Verona, there’s a wall where the lovelorn leave notes, hoping that Juliet will answer their inquiries about love. Sophie (Seyfried) is part of a team of volunteers who respond to the letters. When Sophie answers a letter from 1957, the woman who wrote it (Redgrave) decides to seek out the one that got away, and romance starts to blossom all around. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
